Unfortunately, asbestos cancer mesothelioma does result in a lot of deaths. While it is not pointless when you become diagnosed, it can be a difficult road ahead. Mesothelioma is a difficult disease because it reacts differently with every single patient. It also will only react to very specific chemical compounds. While there is not yet a cure for this disease, research is being done heavily to try to find out what to do to get a cure found.

With the more research that is done, more people will be able to get a fighting chance against this disease.

There has been much progress made over the years. Patients have been able to live out their life and actually die from natural causes. The tumors were still present in their body but they were able to live out their lives with them.
This is the most progress that they have been able to make so far. But this of course is leaps and bounds from where they started from
Prevention
Because there is no known cure for this disease currently, the best way to survive through it is through prevention. There are several ways that one can prevent exposing themselves asbestos.
Always make sure that when you are working near asbestos that you are wearing a dust mask and that special equipment is used. You will also need to wash your hands and clothes thoroughly and quickly.
