Although there are many words, but these few words are the most frequently used words.<img class="alignright size-medium wp-image-187" src="http://www.opensourcefaith.org/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/72-215x300.jpg" alt="" width="215" height="300" /></p>
<p><strong>1. Acrylic paint-</strong> A special type of paint which dries out very quickly and used in oil paintings. It is used as under painting medium also.<br />
<strong>2. Medium-</strong> It refers to the oil which is used to make oil color thin, so that one can use it easily and smoothly. Painters use turpentine, linseed oil, baby oil, olive oil as medium.<br />
<strong>3. Palette-</strong>It is a thin board which is specially designed for painters to mix their colors to get new colors.<br />
<strong>4. Canvas-</strong> It refers to the rough cloth that painters use to draw their paintings on.<br />
<strong> 5. Monet Paintings- </strong>Monet or Claude Monet was a famous French painter who started an art movement, which is known as impressionism or impression of light on water. Paintings or reproductions of Monet are called <a href="http://globalwholesaleart.com/index.php?artists_id=59" target="_blank">Monet Paintings</a>.<br />
<strong>6. Rembrandt –</strong> Rembrandt was name of a famous Dutch painter of 16th century.<br />
<strong>7. Glazing-</strong>To make a surface of something shiny by applying some liquid on it and leaving it to dry.<br />
<strong>8. Genre-</strong> A particular style in Arts which has similar characteristics<br />
<strong>9. Landscape paintings-</strong> Paintings which shows mountains, rivers, sun, trees, ponds, flowers etc<br />
<strong>10. Impressionism-</strong> An Art movement which was started by a French painter named Claude Monet in 20th century. He used effects (reflections) of light especially on water in paintings which later came to be known as style of impressionism.<br />
<strong>11. Reproductions-</strong> Reproductions in painting means imitations or copies of works (paintings) of famous old artists.</p>
<p>You can look up these words in dictionary as well. You can save your  time if you have knowledge of these basic words.</p>
